And according to their research, they see a growing trend toward favoring the excitement of big cities. "Right now there is a craze for big cultural cities," - says Jon Gielselman, president of brands at Expedia Group.

Travelers are attracted to the vibrant nightlife in these destinations and feel ready to spend a few days in the heart of the world's largest cities. Among the exciting cultural capitals of the world are cities that are rich in experiences and celebrations.

For example, the world's largest art festival is held in Edinburgh, and Sydney will host WorldPride for the first time in February 2023. Hence, they are included in the list of the 10 hottest cities for 2023. Whether strolling the cobblestone streets of the Portuguese capital or sipping a drink under a cherry tree in Tokyo, travelers in 2023 are hungry for urban excitement.
